Two artist's move out of the big city to a small town in northern Ontario just before 2019.
There is not much an art community in Bancroft ( pop. 4000) ,so we started working construction .
After several years hard work and getting nowhere with the company, we knew we had to do something different.
With a passion for the arts, we felt chainsaw carving might be a medium that would resonate with a more rural audience.
We got the first chainsaw December 2023 and could only practice on weekends when it did not rain.
Little by little we gained tools and experience . After selling our first serious attempt at carving an owl for almost two thousand dollars we felt
this may be a path worthy of our full commitment.
We are now carving on a more regular basis and look forward to using the new high quality carving bars and chains from LB Tools.

Just retired, own a 100 acre property by Bancroft, Ont. On the property is a 30 year old stand of red pine, approximately 12 AC , which I am thinning by hand. Have been peeling logs with a draw knife so far, but it's time to get serious. Saw a you tube video of sawing with Sandy using this tool and decided it's what I need.
Going to use peeled poles around property for fencing, firewood shelter, sawmill shelter, etc.
