Log Building Tools
Canada has a long history in the forest industry and a rich culture of log building and timber framing. The roots of the business date back to 1977 where the companies founder Maurice Gardy, of Prince George, BC worked closely with the log and timber industry along with the Allan B. Mackie School of Log Building. Seeing a growing need for specialty tools to support these industries, Maurice started his own business and began to supply quality tools and accessories throughout Canada, The United States, Europe and beyond, back in 1997.
After 27 years of success, Maurice passed on his legacy to me to continue the tradition of providing quality tools and reliable customer service.
I have always been very interested and involved with carpentry. Running my own construction business and being involved in many different construction projects has given me a passion for tools. Over the years I had purchased the occasional tool from Maurice and much more recently a broken Adze handle brought me back and ultimately led to me taking on the opportunity of acquiring the company.
Whether it’s a log cabin being shipped to Montana, a dugout canoe being shaped in Haida Gwaii, or a chainsaw mill operating in Newfoundland, we have the tools and the support to help our customers get their projects done.
One of the best parts of this business is meeting folks from all over the globe, hearing about what they’re building, and being a part of the community. Log Building Tools remains in Prince George, BC, nestled within the beautiful timber of Western Canada and we look forward to hearing from you.
